3rd day of Chinese New Year

Mummy said today is a make up public holiday for 1st day of Chinese New Year that falls on Sunday. So there is an extra day of Chinese New Year public holiday yipee!

Today we went to daddy's colleague Uncle Tan's house. We were the last one to arrive. Daddy's colleagues said daddy so late. Some of them left when we were on the way to Uncle Tan's house. Daddy was very unhappy and gave mummy kinda look. Mummy was very guilty.

Uncle Tan's house has many many toy cars. His son kai kai loves toy cars.

Aunty Diane showed the guests her wedding album and video. Mummy was feeding me. When I finished eating, everyone wanna leave already. Mummy didn't get to see Aunty Diane's wedding album and video

We went to kong kong's classmate's condo after that

Kong Kong's classmate's condo is in Outram Park. The condo is up on a hill and he stayed on very high level 35th level. From his house can see China Town. Daddy said can see the area where the fire cracker was lighted.

I enjoyed walking up and down the stairs in the house. After walking for quite a while, I was tired and zzzz.......

Today only visited 2 places chay not fun one

2nd day of Chinese New Year

2nd day of Chinese New Year I went to puo puo's house than went to lao mak's house with puo puo. Lak mak's house is nice nice.

Lao mak's house has so many so many goodies. Puo Puo let me eat kua bu lu and love letter. 1st time I learned that love letter is edible. Anyway, it's finger licking good

Yi puo let me play with her bao pei turtle. Yi puo said the smaller size one is very fierce and the bigger size one is friendly. I saiyang the bigger size turtle

I like lao mak's house.

Than aunty called puo puo to say that gu puo was at puo puo's house. We left lao mak's house and went back to puo puo's house.

Together with gu puo and her son, we went to another gu puo's house in Tampines. I enjoyed playing in the ballcony. There was a big fish tank with a big luo han fish and many small fishes. I learned the word gor li. There were many many gor li in the bowl of plant called qi gu. This plant is only planted during Chinese New Year in a bowl of water. Interesting right. Next we went to lao tua mak's house in YiShun. I played with a jie jie who is few days older than me. She hor kept biting her tu tu and held her bolster. How come har. Not bed time what. Anyway I don't need those during bed time. Mummy is my bolster and tutu

Last place of visitation of the day is kong kong's childhood friend's condo in Marine Parade. Actually hor, I don't know about this one. I slept throughout the time we were there

What a tired day. Visited how many let me count lao mak, gu puo, lao tua mak and kong kong's friend. Wow 4 places

1st day of Chinese New Year

Today is the first day of Chinese New Year

This is the 2nd time I celebrated Chinese New Year. Last year I was 8mth old. This year I am exactly 20 mth old on the 1st day of Chinese New Year

After that we set off to kong kong puo puo's house.

Kong kong puo puo ah gu gave me ang pow and I greeted them wif kong xi fa cai.

Puo puo cooked mee xua for daddy mummy and me. Mee xua signifies long life. So puo puo cooked mee xua for breakfast on the 1st day of Chinese New Year. Puo puo also cooked cereal for me to tar bao to mak mak's house

Next go to mak mak's house. I met the same people I met yesterday. Again they very eager to carry me.

Mak mak cooked dishes and rice for lunch. Every one took turn to eat lunch. After lunch, they hoi toi ie play majong. A bunch of gamble ghost :P

While mummy fed me cereal, mak mak dipped her fingers into my cereal to test the temperature of my cereal. Mummy was rude shocked. She didn't bring extra food for me. So she bo pian warmed up my cereal than fed me.

In the afternoon we went back to kong kong puo puo's house. Boy, there are so many visitors. Batches after batches. Daddy mummy kept asking me to entertain the toddler guests but they don't wanna play with me. Made me so malu man. I hide in mummy's room. Than the funny girl came to mummy's room to look for me. When I got out of mummy's room she no heel me again. Weirdo right

Finally the guests left. I played with mummy's favorite platform shoes she bought from Thailand few years back. She can't bear to wear it. I wear it for her hahaha...... Actually hor she kept the shoes for too long. It's peeling already. She has to throw it away. sai yang

After dinner we go home

Chinese New Year Eve

Today is Chinese New Year Eve. Mummy said very lugi that Chinese New Year Eve falls on Sat this year because her company released only 2hrs 15 min earlier, not 1/2 day on eve of New Year eve.

Daddy washed his bao bei car yesterday. He said no driving of his bao bei. Take MRT & bus when we go to puo puo's and mak mak's house for reunion meals

It's a Chinese tradition that all family members must get together for a reunion dinner on Chinese New Year eve.

In the afternoon we went to mak mak's house for reunion lunch. Mak mak prepared steamboat and everyone took turn to eat because mak mak's house small small but many many family members. Anyway, none of my concern. I have my own baby food. I was the centre of attraction, so many people wanna carry me. Hey should charge them for carrying me

In the evening we went to puo puo's house for reunion dinner. The first dish was mummy's favorite lao yu sheng. The adults went lao ah lao ah, sun sun li li, xin xiang shi chen (chen hey dat's my name) blah blah blah...... the best thing is I got to lao lao lao also and eat the craker. Finger licking good. Next come steamboat. I got to eat the vege from the steamboat. Wu lar lar, I got to eat the same food as kong kong puo puo daddy mummy ah gu and aunty. Hehe...

After dinner we went home. Daddy bathe his bao bei car again (AGAIN!)

Mummy sent me to zhou kong than did her menicure and pedicure. But hor, I woke up 3 times to cry for her to carry me. hiak hiak hiak

New clothes for CNY

Mummy bought many new clothes for me to wear on Chineses New Year. Plus a few pieces that were gift from others I have more than enough for Chinese New Year.

Daddy took pictures of me in the new clothes. I "cat run" around the house. Daddy took 2 days to take the above pictures. At the end of the photo taking session, both daddy and I were burnt out hehehehe

This is the pyjamas puo puo bought for me. She over estimated my size or she wishes I am bigger than my current size??

Mummy thot of letting me wear this romper with print of dogs on Chinese New Year to welcome year of dog but but but it is too big for me leh. How??

Lion dance and China Town

Daddy is very busy with work lately. He went back to office to work on 1st January and every week end since 1st January. Mummy and I followed daddy to his office. Mummy brought me to the shopping centre to walk walk when daddy burried his head in his stack of work

When we left daddy's office today, we saw cai gao jiao performance. There were a few men standing on long wooden stick. Every man jumped over the fire than lied on the floor. The next man jumped over the row of men who jumped over the fire before him. Interesting stunt

After the cai gao jiao, a group of young people sang. It was boring. Many in the crowd left. We tong till the carolling was over to watch lion dance.

There was a lady who distributed calender for 2006 and a little hand where you can flag flag flag. Tack tack tack, kept me occupied while waiting for the carolling to be over

Finally the lion dance performance. It was presented by students from a primary school. This is the 2nd time I watched lion dance. 1st time I saw it last year. I wanna touch the lion but mummy kept pulling me back. I like the music chiang zi tong chiang, chiang chiang chiang ...... There were tangerine on the floor and 2 lion "slept" on it. The lion spit out the tangerine skin. Yucks, dirty lion. After a long wait, the lion "woke up". The tangerine flesh were arranged in Chinese character "ji", ie luck. Clever lion. We chao after this

Next we went to China Town. Boi it was very very crowded. I was fascinated by the lighting, flowers, Chinese New Year deco and the laser casted on the flats.

There was a shop which sold lion dance. Big and small. So many so many of them. A man stood at the entrance and controlled a puppet lion. Very very interesting

After squeezing through 2 streets, daddy, mummy and I were very tired. We took MRT back to daddy's office. I zzzz...... once I broad daddy's car

I learned few words from this trip - wu si (lion dance), wu long (drangon dance), nian gao (Chinese new year cake), yin liu (Pussy willo), bian pao (fire cracker) .......

Cold weather

It's been raining non stop lately. The weather is freezing cold. I started coughing again. Oh no. Chinese New Year is about 2 weeks from now. I need to recover fast. Puo puo said I have to wear long sleeve top and long pants. Mummy said I look like tong san ah pak. Is it?

Toy aeroplane

Mah mah bought me a toy aeroplane. This aeroplane makes very loud sound and it has light. It moves very fast and can turns round and round. Not as big and loud as the aeroplane I saw at Changi airport. Daddy said this is fighter. Fighter not meant to be big. It carries only 1 person. Hmmm.... 1 person in the aeroplane. Isn't it too luxurious. Aren't the person in the fighter bored and lonely??
