BBQ gathering at our house

Mummy hosted a BBQ gathering for the daddy, mummy and babies in the forum tonight. This is the 2nd time mummy hosted gathering for them. 1st time was at home. This time at the BBQ pit

It's a long time since I last met my friends. All of us have grown so "big" but I am physically small among them . Aunty Eve and aunty Emily said I still look babyish.

Uncle Mark, aunty Brenda and di di Jerome came to our house earlier because uncle Mark needed to prepare stingray for BBQ

The guests are very nice. They helped out at the BBQ - uncle Mark set up the fire, aunty emily's and don't know which aunty's maid helped to BBQ the food. When uncle Goh arrived, he took over the BBQ. The adults said that he BBQ the food very very well. Cooked, tender not burnt. I don't get to eat leh. No comment

I enjoy playing at the playground and fountain with my friends. Got hug from mei mei Ashley when all the guests left and daddy mummy busy cleaning up the place. Wa say!

Sorry hor. No photos because daddy lost his birthday present - camera mummy bought for him used less than 3 mths. Daddy and mummy were very very upset. 1st gathering camera spoiled. This time camera lost. No photos taken for both gatherings at our house

Lou yu sang

Mummy loves to lou yu sang. I got the gene from her. As far as I can remember, I lou yu sang 8 times this year hiak hiak hiak Poor mummy didn't get to lou yu sang when I was in her tummy because yu sang is raw. Not safe for preggie to eat raw food

By the way, yu sang is a dish originated in Singapore. Main ingredient of yu sang are raw raddish (red, white, green), prickles, peanuts, sesame, raw fish (small amount) and lime sauce. This dish is eaten during Chinese New Year. Before eating the dish, all the ingredient in the plate is tossed as high as possible accompanied by good or auscipious words or any good things you wanna wish for such as strike fortune, good bonus, high increment..... The process of tossing is called lou yu sang (in cantonese).





Do you hear what I said during lou yu sang? I said lou Chen Chen mei mei. Mummy interrupted it as wish Chen Chen handsome but her friends from the forum said Chen Chen wish for a mei mei, younger sister. Hahaha. What's your guess?

Valentine

Today is Valentine. Happy valentine!

My valentine present is not rose or chocolate. Guess what? It's DPT/Polio 1st booster jab. This jab should be taken at 18mth but mummy delayed till I am 20mth because I had this persisent cough which happened on an ad hoc basis. It lasted about 30min each time. Sin seh told mummy this is most likely due to irriation of my lungs. Not real cough. So mummy decided to bring me to Dr Sim's clinic for injection after Chinese New Year is over

Dr Sim did assessment for me. I weigh 9kg height 79 cm. He said I stay in 10-25 percentile

Dr Sim gave me a small bell the size of a rasin and asked me to pick it up with my tumb and forefinger. I did it. Than he gave me 3 cubes about 3cm by 3cm by 3cm and wanted me to stack them up. I stacked the 3 cubes. He gave me 2 more cubes. I stacked the 5 of them. He said normally toddler at my age can only stack 2 or 3 cubes. Mummy asked me to name the color of the cubes. I named them correctly

Dr Sim asked mummy if I know how to call people. Mummy asked me to call uncle, I called uncle. Then she asked me to call doctor, I called doctor.

Mummy pointed to a toy bear on Dr Sim's table and I said bear bear. Than she pointed to the mobile hanging from the ceiling. I said wu tie (butterfly). Dr Sim said :"hmmm.... wu tie good"

After that Dr Sim gave me the jab on my thigh. I didn't cry whenever Dr Sim gives me injection. Dr Sim said I am a brave boy

Dr Sim issued a certificate of vaccination to me and said : "Though he is small in size, he is very intelligent." This is the best valentine gift to daddy and mummy

I waved and said bye bye to Dr Sim before we left the consultation room

Last day of Chinese New Year

Today is full of event. Morning woke up in Bintam, afternoon went back to our house, evening went to puo puo's house for reunion dinner.

Today is the last day of Chinese New Year. It's call yuan xiao. A year is divided into 3 yuan. Last day of Chinese New Year is shan yuan

We had steamboat and yu sheng again for reunion dinner.

To Bintam day 3

Today is the last day we stayed in Bintam. We took the 11:30am ferry but we need to leave by 10:15am.

There is nothing much we could do. Mummy as usual, had her morning swim while daddy brought me to the beach for a stroll

Took a bath and some pictures at the balcony than checked out of the room before we proceed to the restaurant for breakfast.

Today my breakfast is honeydew juice and apple juice. They are sedap. I learn to say honeydew juice.

After breakfast we took the bus and ferry back to Singapore. Bye bye Bintam

To Bintam day 2

4:30pm was the telematch. I followed daddy and mummy to the beach.

Wow the wave was strong. I love playing with the waves

Daddy and mummy joined the telematch

This aunty looked after me and her baby boy when the telematch started. After the 1st game, mummy came to look after me while daddy enjoyed himself taking part in the telematch

Dinner was a special treat from mummy's company Huntsman. Most of the food are seafood. Mummy's favorite. She said that was the best meal in Bintam

I wanna give a speech too when mummy's VP gave a speech but hor daddy brought me out of the room. Why har?? My voice not sweet meh

Everyone was given a club med T-shirt at the end of the speech. Mummy didn't like hers. In fact, many of mummy's colleagues didn't like their T-shirt. So a gang of us went to the shop to change the T-shirt. Mummy can't find a T-shirt to her liking so she changed her T-shirt for a man's T-shirt for daddy. Wow daddy tang teo man

There was trapeze show tonight. Eye opening but hor I can't open my eyes after a while. I am very very tired zzzzz..........

To Bintam day 2

Today is our 2nd day in Bintam

Morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast. Mummy let me pick the yoghurt flavor I like and let me feed myself. Do you drool seeing the way I ate the yoghurt?




Besides yoghurt, I ate porridge, cereal, and can't remember what liao. I ate too much till I puke. Mummy got frighten and stopped me from eating further

Following breakfast mummy went to the reception to request to change room because I cried middle of the night at least twice and very early in the morning. Mummy felt bad to disturb her colleagues staying in the room on the left and right of our room

Good thing the club med staff found us a corner room where there was no neighbour. Hurray, I can cry as loudly and any time I like. Hiak hiak hiak. Poor mummy got sun BBQ and her hands itched by following club med staff to view the new room walking under the "poisonous" sun

After we settled down in the new room, mummy brought me to the swimming pool in the petite club to swim. The swimming pool there has movable shade so mummy won't get BBQ by the sun.

I was forced to sleep at 2pm to prepare myself for the telematch at 4pm zzzz.........

To Bintam day 1

Today we set off to Bintam Club Med. Yipee! It's outing organised by mummy's company for the employees and their family

We took the 11:30 ferry to Bintam. Wrong choice. It was raining cats and dogs. The sea was very choppy. Mummy puked in the ferry. I kept asking for mummy. Daddy carried me walked around and told me mummy was giddy. Actually daddy was giddy too. Poor poor daddy. Mummy gave me a shou tao and I ate happily in the ferry.

This is the room we stayed in Club Med on the 1st night. Nice?

After we settled down in the room, we went to the main floor to attend a short briefing. We went back to our room to rest after that since it was still raining. Daddy and mummy were very hungry but it was not dinner time yet. Came to dinner time, mummy were too hungry to eat much. She got gastric pain aftertaking dinner. Bad day for her

After dinner, we watched pirate show. I enjoyed the part with singing and dancing. I was very tired after the show. Knocked off immediately when back to the room in the baby cot! I have not slept in baby cot for a year plus. Of couse I only napped last than an hour today so very very tired. But hor I cried middle of the night a few times and woke up very early (cried of course) on the following day

Prayer to God of Heaven

In the evening we went back to kong kong puo puo's house. Puo puo was busy preparing the things for praying to God of Heaven. Among the things are flowers, banana, pineapple, tangerine, bua luku, pomelo, apple, mee sua, huat kuey, shou tao, ...... All the things must have a piece of red paper on it. Mummy cut red paper into many shapes to put on the things for prayer.

Today is the 8th day of Chinese New Year. God of Heaven's birthday is on the 9th day of Chinese New Year. We started praying at11+pm. We need to change into new clothes when we pray to God of Heaven




We supposed to go downstairs to burn incense paper when the clock strike 12 but it was raining. So puo puo delayed till don't know what time cause I can't tong and zzzzz....... before she went down to burn incense paper

Visit to Singapore Zoological Garden

Today daddy mummy brought me to the Singapore Zoological Garden.


There was lion dance at the entrance. This one was performed by real professional. Very very interesting. The lion danced on top of a few poles besides dancing on the ground. This is much much better than the one I saw at Tiong Bahru Plaza. Of causer can't compare the two cause that one was performed by primary school students

There was this Mighty Dog show but I was not interested in the show. I pulled daddy out a while after the show started. Mummy didn't know. She was hidding under a tree, enjoyed watching the whole show. She couldn't find daddy and I after the show ended. She thought daddy brought me to play with the dogs that performed the show

I saw many interesting animals in the zoo - the monkey which "screamed" non stop, the big white bird which flew out of it's enclosure to parade, the gigantic tortise, the noble white tiger

I saw many many other animals like parrot, penguine, jaguar, puma, leopard, otter, squirrel, rhino, hipp, alligator, orang utan, butterflies ....... I learned to prononuce the name of many animals from this visit

We met aunty Viv and mei mei Jana. Aunty Viv said she wanna bring mei mei Jana to the zoo before her no 2 pop

I like to visit this goat's land. I love the goats. I sai yang a goat's horn and fed the goats with leaves daddy and mummy picked up from the floor. 1st time I fed an animal. It's fun!

There were 3 giraffe in the giraffe land. We saw a zoo keeper fed giraffe with carrots. I don't get the chance to feed the giraffe. The giraffe's tongue is very long. Of course the giraffe that I hugged is not 1 of the 3.

We left the zoo at 6+pm. I was very tired. I visited dream land straight after we broad the car

I love mummy

Mummy bought T shirt with the print "I love daddy" and "I love mummy" for me.

Today is the 1st day mummy went back to work after the 4 days of Chinese New Year break. I missed mummy very very much. I refused to take off my "I love mummy" T shirt when aunty wanna remove it before she bathe me. I kept pulling my T shirt down, pointed to the print and said "I love mummy" "I love mummy".......
